Just a short news update. We have been in Croatia for a week already. Had the first Lion Gang meeting yesterday and had a nice group of 15 children and young people. That is also the group that goes on summer camp. That camp will start next Saturday. After the summer camp at the sea, we have another week to further set up the location to welcome the group of young people from Ede from the Baptists on Doorway. We notice that it is quite a switch to now have "only" 6 weeks to run the summer program. Every day is a busy day with a lot of work.
I (Meindert) have had a lot of headaches the last 4 days. Another clearly contributing to the tensions is my new appointment as a teacher in the Netherlands at the MBO, which I will start immediately after the summer vacation. This also means that we have to "adjust the sail positions". The bee project, for example, will also have to be put on the back burner.
Furthermore, things are going well here. Karsten Spoelder is having a good time (son of Marja and Paul), there is a lot of visitors from the youngsters, with Kika things are going reasonably well under circumstances and preparations for summer camp are in full swing and the list of participants is almost complete. The theme: the change (continuation of the theme that I have dealt with in Formula 1).
Greetings from all of us,
Meindert
